Shri. Paul. P. Mani, Congress leader, was born on 16th Kumbham 1100 M.E.

Giving up studies in 1942 to participate in the freedom movement, he joined the Indian National Congress the same year. Later, he served as President, Ernakulam DCC, Treasurer, KPCC and Vice President, KPCC.

Getting elected to the Fourth Kerala Legislative Assembly from Trippunithura in 1970, Shri. Paul. P. Mani became the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies in the Ministry headed by Shri. C. Achutha Menon, and held the post from 16.5.1972 to 25.3.1977.

He had also served for some time as Chairman, Greater Cochin Development Authority.

Smt. Anna Paul is his wife and they have one son and three daughters.
