P.K.K. BAVA

 


Shri. P.K.K. Bava, senior Muslim League leader, was born on 1st September, 1949, as the son of Shri Noorudheen Mohammed Bava Musliar and Smt. Fathima.


A former teacher, he entered politics through M.S.F., while a student and later served as the President of Youth League, Quilandy Taluk. During 1974-90 he was also President of Muslim Youth League State Committee.


Shri. Bava became elected to the 7th and 8th KLA from Guruvayoor constituency, 9th KLA from Eravipuram, 10th KLA from Kondotty and to the 11th KLA, again from Guruvayoor constituency as a Muslim League Member.


From 29.6.1991 to 16.3.1995 Shri Bava was the Minister for Works in the Ministry headed by Shri. K. Karunakaran and from 20.4.1995 to 9.5.1996 he was the Minister for Panchayat and Social Welfare in the Ministry headed by Shri. A.K. Antony .


Shri. Bava had also served as a member of KSRTC Advisory Council for four years, besides serving as a member of Chemancherry Panchayat. Presently a member of Muslim League Secretariat, he is also General Secretary, Kozhikode District Muslim League, Secretary, Muslim League Legislature Party, President , Kerala Muslim Educational Association, and President, Kerala Private Colleges and Schools Non-Teaching Staff League.


His wife is Smt. Umaina and they have 3 sons and 1 daughter.
