Shri. K.Kutty Ahamed Kutty, senior Muslim League leader, was born on 15th January, 1953 as the son of Shri. Saidalikutty Master.

During his long political career, he has served as the Vice President, Malappuram District Council, Executive Council Member, Kerala Agricultural University and President, Tanur Panchayat Board. He has also been the Secretary, Malappuram District Muslim League Committee.

Shri. Kutty Ahamed Kutty became elected to 9th KLA from Tanur Constituency in the bye-election held on 8-6-1992 as a Muslim League Member. He was again elected to 10th and 11th KLA from Thirurangadi Constituency and in the Ministry headed by Shri. Oommen Chandy, he is a Minister since 5-9-2004 handling the Portfolio of Local Self Government.

From 2001 to 2004 he had served also as the Chairman of the Committee on the Welfare of Backward Class Communities. Shri Kutty Ahamed Kutty is, presently, serving as President, Kerala Muslim Educational Association, Malappuram District Committee.

Smt. Jahanara is his wife and they have two sons and one daughter.
