Shri. K.T. Jacob, senior CPI leader, was born in 1921.
After School education , he actively participated in the National Movement and later became a
member of the Communist Party. After the split in 1964, he opted to stand with the CPI.
Shri Jacob became elected to the 3rd KLA in 1967 from Udumbanchola Constituency.
He served as the Minister for Revenue from 1..11..1969 to 1..8..1970 in the Ministry headed by
Shri.C.Achutha Menon, and took the lead in giving title of land to landless workers and labourers.
Later he also served for sometime as the Chairman of Kerala State Housing Board.
Shri. K.T. Jacob expired on 14..6..1976.
The Assembly paid its homage to him on 15..10..1976.
