Shri. V.K.Ebrahim Kunju, senior Muslim League leader, was born on 20th may, 1952 as the son of Shri. V. U. Khader and Smt. Chithumma.

He entered politics through M.S.F. and Youth League and had held several top posts of MSF and Youth League, including serving as Chairman and Chief Executive of Forest Industries (Travancore ) Ltd. He
was also District Board member, Grandhasala Sanghom and District Development Committee, Ernakulam.

Shri. Ebrahim Kunju became elected to the 11th KLA from Mattancherry constituency as a Muslim League Member. He is serving as the Minister for Industries and Social Welfare since 6.1.2005 in the Ministry headed by Shri. Oommen Chandy.

At present serving as Ernakulam District Secretary of IUML (for 18 years), he has been at different times, likewise, Syndicate Member of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Member, DDC, Ernakulam and Member Gosree Island Development Authority. He had also served as the Editor of the ‘Eeyugam’ Daily published from Aluva.

Smt. Nadeera is his wife and they have 3 sons.
