Kanhangad Ramachandran

 

Sri. Kanhangad Ramachandran


Sri. Kanhangad Ramachandran is a brilliant musician, composer and playback singer from Kanhangad. He has a rich bass voice and is famous for his semi-classical music. He has recorded more than 200 songs in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil.

He sang popular songs like `Ksheera Sagara' (Devagandhari), `Seeta Kalyana' (Kurinji), `Marugelara' (Jayantasri), and `Nannu Palimpa' (Mohanam).

He was a disciple of Padmashree KJ Yesudas. He is the first Indian in the mid 80s to hold the title for singing non-stop for 25 hours in the Guinness World Record. He has over 25,000 stage performances to his credit all over India and abroad. Ramchandran has even performed at Thyagaraja festival at Kalpathy and the Kollur Mookambika Temple.
